Everything now comes back to normality, and Sailor Soldiers think to school texts. But unfortunately, the peace remain for a too short time. In fact some new enemies attack Tôkyô, and the first victim is the poor Rei, that had already a bad day. In fact during her meditations, she had the illusion of the destruction of the world, and she looked at all her friends transformed into stones.
The new enemies are named Daimon, and they are created by professor Sôichi Tomoe, a very famous scientist, director of a very famous High School, Mughen Gakuen (same, but trans. in it). What Tomoe wants, is to find the Legendary Graal, a very powerful cup that can be found only making together the 3 Talismans. These things are cached into the pure hearths of some particular persons. To watch if in this person there's a talisman, the Daimon (controlled by Kaolinite alias Kaori in It Katya) must attack the persons, and it must extract by them the Crystal Hearth, a thing that is in every pure hearth, instead of the talisman. But if the person is left without the Crystal hearth, the person would die!
The first match finishes in a very tragic way to our soldiers. No one between them can trasform (the daimon is too speedy), the only one that can do it it's Usagi, but she's defenseless, because the monster is too powerful for her. The monster absorbes all her energy, and Sailor Moon comes back to be Usagi, because the Ginzuisho looses his powers!!!!! Thanks God, two strange persons that Soldiers can't watch in face helped them, and so Rei can obtain back her Crystal hearth. But the problem is very hard to solve: some new strong and powerful enemies attacks human beings, and the worst is that Ginzuisho loosed completely his powers, and Usagi can't trasform herself any more into Sailor Moon!
The second fight is another time a tragedy for the soldiers. But then, thanks to union of Usagi's and Mamoru's love, the Ginzuisho obtains a new power, changing his form into a hearth, and Usagi obtains a new sceptre. The new gem is always the Maboroshi no Ginzuisho, but in italian version, adaptors change back the name into Hearth's Crystal (instead of Silver Crystal, obviously everything translated).
In the Game Center that Usagi frequents lots of times with Minako, they meet a very very handsome boy, named Tenô Haruka (Helles in It). Usagi and Minako suddently fall inlove with this boy (uhm... Usagi... and what about Mamoru?): they are really disappointed when they discover that the boy is a girl, even if she loves to wear male dresses and she's engaged with Kaiô Michiru, another new character of the serie. Kaiô Michiru is a very beautiful and feminine girl and she's a famous violin player. The two girls attend the Mugen Gakuen, and in reality, they are Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune, the two sailor soldiers that helped Usagi and the others to save Rei's life. But obviously this thing isn't known by Usagi and the other soldiers. The two new soldiers seem to know the Daimons' secret, and they are searching the Talismans too. They don't want that the other soldiers park the nose into their mission.
Sometimes, they obstruct Sailor Moon, because they wants to see if the person has the talisman in his hearth before destroy the Daimon. Usagi instead would like that the person isn't deprived by his crystal hearth!
Uranus and Neptune don't care to kill the person that have in the hearth the talisman: they think to save all the world, and all the universe. The destiny of one person isn't important if compared with the destiny of all the world. But that's not the same idea of Usagi: she thinks that one person is as important as all the Universe, and she tries every time to save the Daimon's victim.
The tries of Kaolinite are always fruitless, and at least, the evil woman is killed during a very hard battle (she falls from Tôkyô Tower). So, Tomoe employs a group of 5 girls, named "The 5 Witches" (in Italy it's just translated). Quite in the same moment, there's Chibiusa that comes back to the past, because Queen Serenity wants that she learns to be a warrior: now there's no danger in Crystal Tôkyô, but perhaps in future there will be, and Chibiusa must be able to rescue her people.
Chibiusa uses the Power of Moon Prism, and transforms herself into "Sailor Chibimoon" (in Italy Sailor Kibiusa). Her powers are very very limited, and in the fights she's always in trouble. But sometimes she helps Sailor Moon, distracting the Daimon.
The first Witch they have to fight with is Eudial (in Italy Eugeal). At first, the witch can't find the right person, and in this way, she hits all Sailor Soldiers. The only one that isn't hitted, is Minako, that is really disappointed by that, because she starts thinking that her hearth isn't pure. At least, Eugeal hits even Minako.... for her "big joy" and the fight is really important. In fact, Minako is so happy that Eugeal is stealing her hearth, that she doesn't faint as the other people. She run away, bringing with her her Crystal Hearth (in her corrupted mind, at this moment, I think that she wants to show to the others that she has a pure hearth). She hides herself in a garage, and Usagi, Haruka, Michiru and Eugeal follow her. Usagi tries to save her without trasform herself into Sailor Moon (she noticed that there were Michiru and Haruka in the garage, and then Eugeal saw her before she could trasform). But she couldn't help Minako, and she risks her life, because Eugeal has a very strong weapon, that throws fire! So, she decides to put down her mask, and she transforms herself into Sailor Moon in front of Eugeal, Haruka and Michiru. Then, even Haruka and Michiru trasform (they were in danger too!), and they attack Eudial together. At least, even the other soldiers arrive, and Eugeal runs away. So Minako can have her pure hearth back.
At the end, Eudial found who has the first two Talismans, the Sword and the Glass: that's exactly Haruka and Michiru, the ones that were searching for them! In fact the two girls hadn't never thought to have the Talisman, because they thought they haven't a pure hearth.
The episode where Eudial reveals them that they have the Talismans, is the most moving, and one of the most beautiful of all 3th season. It can move your feelings, thanks to a story, a direction, and a musical background really excellent.
Perhaps for this reason, this episode won the 15th Anime Grand Prix made by Animage magazine in Japan. It obtained 110 votes, and two pages were completely dedicated to it in Animage. In that Anime Grand Prix, Haruka Tenô obtained the qualification of the most loved character by Japan people, and Ogata Megumi had the qualification of the best Seiyu, and she obtained an interview on the magazine. It's very touching the point where the two girls cross their hands in something very like a dance, that can represent in the most perfect way what they feel one for the other, without words need.
And it's really beautiful, and moving, the point where Michiru tries to save Haruka, and is hitted so much times by Eudial's weapons (a queue of little angels of the Organ, that shoots like machine-guns). But Michiru doesn't stop, and she continues walking: at every walk, the angels hit her.
Eudial at first plays with her, because she says that she found the person that has the Talisman, without telling to them that they have it. Then she tells to Haruka that Michiru has the Talisman, and she stops Haruka, preventing her to help her friend, that is tied to a pole. Michiru frees herself, and tries to save Haruka. The girl cries, because they made a promise each other, to never help each other if in trouble: the most important thing is to find the talismans! So, Eudial hits Michiru with the machine that extracts the Crystal hearths, and Michiru's Crystal transforms into the Glass Talisman. Then, Eudial says to Haruka that she has the second Talisman. Usagi arrives, she transforms herself into Sailor Moon, and she tries to save Haruka. Eudial run away for a moment, and Usagi tries to put the Talisman back into Michiru's hearth, but she can't. Haruka tells to Usagi that it's impossible that the Crystal Hearth comes back into the person when it's trasformed into the Talisman. Then she says to Usagi that she has the second Talisman, and she wants to use Eudial's weapon to hit herself. Usagi tries to stop her, but there's no way to do that: Haruka faint after telling to Usagi to never make the Talisman arrive into Eudial's hands.
Unfortunately, Eudial steals the Talismans, and runs away. Usagi go after her, and when she reaches her, a new person arrives. It's Sailor Pluto, that in this serie has a normal identity as Meiô Setsuna (in Italy Sydia). The girl transforms herself into Sailor Pluto, and she says that she's arrived there to brings to Sailor Moon the third Talisman: it's the extremity of the Garnet Rod, Sailor Pluto's Time Key. Eudial would like to steal that talisman too, but Setsuna orders to her to stop, and turns on the union power of the Talismans. In this moment, Haruka and Michiru appear in front of their Talisman, and their Crystal Hearth comes out of the Sword and the Glass and it comes back into their hearth. Usagi is really happy: Haruka and Michiru wake up, and hug each other happy because they are alive even if the Talisman has been found.
Then, the three girls use the Talisman to create the Graal. After few seconds of this, Eudial starts run and she tires to keep the Cup. Usagi tries to arrive before her, and she wins. The Graal gives a lot of Power to Sailor Moon, that turns into Super Sailor Moon. Even Chibimoon begins Superchibimoon at the same time. Using Graal's power, Usagi seems to be a Goddess, and she makes Eudial run away. But after she runs away, Usagi faints, and she looses the power of SuperSailor Moon. This thing makes Haruka and Michiru think that Usagi's not the Messiah that can use the Graal to save the world. They tells to the other warriors that they are the Outer Senshi, and Usagi and the others are the Inner Senshi. That's because they uses the barrier of the Asteroids to make a fracture in the Solar System. They are most powerful of the Inner, because their planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) are the most distant from the Sun. They tell to Inner senshi that they have to search the Messiah, and that it's their job. The Inner can't pick their nose on it. But they will leave the Graal to Sailor Moon, as it seems like that she can use a little to have much power.
In the meantime, Tomoe has noticed that the Graal is appeared, and he's understood even that Sailor Moon gave it. But he decides to change the strategy: in fact they can obtain their purpose even if they wake up the powerful Mistress 9, that is sleeping in the body of the Tomoe's daughter, Hotaru. But to obtain that, they have to steal a lot of Crystal Hearths. So the scientist change the structure of the Daimons making them eating the Crystal, so it can arrive in a safe way to them.
In the meaning time, Chibiusa met a girl named Tomoe Hotaru (yes, the professor's daughter), in Italy named Ottavia. The child can easy become friend of the lonely girl: Hotaru has a special power, she can make people recover by the wounds. But sometimes, she faints, and she can't remember what it happens in these moments. One day, when she fainted, she hurt seriously one of her classmates, and by that day, she couldn't find a friend any more: anyone had fear of her. Chibiusa was the only person that would like to be her friend, by so much time.
Hotaru is a very pale girl, and she wears always black dresses. Her room is always dark, and there's a lot of lovely little lights, that's similar to fire-flys. Even the girl's appearence is similar to this little insect: you have just to think to the contrast between her pale face and the dark dresses :).
During one of the Daimons' attacks, Hotaru is in danger, and she protect herself using a very strong energy. The Outer Senshi shider, because they know WHO's the owner of this energy: it's Sailor Saturn, the Destruction's and Revival's Warrior. Outer Senshi remember that, in the ancient time when there were Silver Millennium war against Metallia, they invoked that entity using the power of all three Talismans, and Saturn appeared and destroyed Silver Millennium. Outer Senshi don't want that Sailor Saturn come back to life, and they want to kill Hotaru. But Chibiusa and Usagi don't want it: Chibiusa is an Hotaru's friend, and she doesn't want her friend to die. Usagi is moved by the destiny of this girl.
So in the poor Hotaru is incarnated Sailor Saturn, and even Mistress 9 (Despota 9 in It), the powerful Entity that Tomoe wants to wake up. But why in Hotaru is incarnated Mistress 9? When Hotaru was just a child, the father took her to his lab. But there were a big explosion, and all the Tomoe team dead. Tomoe tried to save his daughter, but Hotaru seemed dead in his hands. Suddently an Alien entity appeared, and said to Tomoe that he could save Hotaru, if he permitted to him to posseded his body. Tomoe accepted, so the Alien posseded him, and he gave the possibility to Hotaru to continue her life, inserting in her body the spirit of Mistress 9. Unfortunately, Hotaru's body can't suffer the insertion, and Tomoe had to reinforce it with cyborg insertions. These insertions can't make Hotaru feel better: they are only making her life longer. But Hotaru has a lot of health's problems.
At Tomoe's house, Usagi and Chibiusa found even a person that they never thought to meet again: Kaori/Kaolinite (Katya), that Tomoe saved by death, and that now lived in Tomoe's house as assistant and Hotaru's sitter. But Kaolinite wants to have a revenge, and she makes a complete research. She finds that the purest hearth on Earth is Chibiusa's one, and she kidnaps her to steal her hearth. She thinks that with this hearth, Mistress 9 will wake up. She can steal Chibiusa's hearth, and Sailor Moon arrives in time to save Chibiusa's life, but it's too late to prevent the waking up of Mistress 9!. Mamoru stay with Chibiusa, and he gives to her a constantly energy flow, to make her stay alive. Mugen Gakuen (Tomoe's headquarter) is protected by a Daimon's barrier, and Inner Senshi decide to use Teleport to enter in. In the meaning time, the Outers arrive to the Mugen gakuen too, and to make them enter in the building, Setsuna uses a forbidden technique, the Dark Dome Clore, to break the time and let them enter. But Pluto disappears in front to the other girls after have done that. Outer think that Pluto is dead, but in reality she's only be banned by Earth forever, and Setsuna will tell this thing in last episode to Chibiusa, with an ologram.
Uranus and Neptune arrives in front to Tomoe, and they destroy the Alien that posseded him thanks to Talismans. Then, they arrive to Mistress 9 place. Mistress 9 makes Usagi arrive in front to her, because she wants her Graal. In fact she's not enough strong to be sure that Hotaru's psychology won't appear back, and she wants to have more power to destroy her, and to invoke the Pharaoh 90 (only translated in Italy)
Usagi would like to use the Graal to destroy Mistress 9, but she shows her Uranus and Neptune tied and wounded, and she says that she will release them if Usagi would give her the Graal. Haruka and Michiru say to Usagi to not make that: they're not important. If Usagi gives to Mistress 9 the Graal, she will invoke Pharaoh 90, and all the world will be destroyed. In this way, Usagi doesn't fall into Mistress 9 trap. But then, Mistress 9 change the strategy. She speaks with Hotaru's voice, and she says to Usagi that, if she will have the Graal, she will defeat Mistress 9. It arrives even Professor Tomoe, this time free by Alien possetion, and he asks to Usagi to save his daughter. Usagi, at the end, gives to Mistress 9 the Graal. But it's a terrible fault, because Mistress 9 fills herself with power, and invoke the Pharaoh 90. But that's the last thing Mistress 9 can do. In fact Sailor Saturn decide tat it's too much, and brings the control of Hotaru's body. Mistress 9 is destroyed, and Sailor Saturn appears. She goes to Chibiusa, and she gives back to her her Crystal Hearth, saying goodbye to her, sadly. In fact Saturn knows that she will use her Destruction's power, and in this way, she will die. Saturn arrives back to Sailor Moon, and they watch at the arrive on Earth of Pharaoh 90, that sinks on the ground, and starts his destruction work. Saturn says to Sailor Moon that that's her battle, and she will rescue the world. Usagi asks to Saturn if she would be safe, and saturn says that her destiny is to Die using her power. Usagi doesn't want it, but Saturn stops her, and jump into Pharaoh 90. Sailor Moon cries: she doesn't want that Hotaru dies! She starts scream: <<Crisis, Make up!>>, hat was the phrase she used to attempt to Graal power and trasform into Super. But she hasn't Graal any more.
The girl is obstinate, and she continues screaming, in a very moving scene (if somebody hasn't cried in this point is really an insensitive), putting together all her power. And in this way, there's a miracle: the power of all the Soldiers meets together in Sailor Moon, and she trasform herself into Super without Graal help. She jump into Pharaoh 90 too, and.... then nothing. Uranus and Neptune wait unarmed the result of the fight: it would be the rescue or the end of the World?
Then, Sailor Moon appears. She has an absent looking, and she has her Crystal Hearth out of her. She has in her arms a little infant: she was Hotaru, that was come back to life. Sailor Moon faints, and Uranus and Neptune take away the little girl. So, Inner Senshi can't know what's happen to Hotaru. Usagi thinks that she's dead, but Haruka and Michiru had taken her back to her father, that now lives a new life, even if can't remember anything of his past when the Alien posseded him.
Then, the Outer go to Sailor Moon, and they challenge her. They want to know if she really can be Future Queen Serenity. Usagi can win then without weapons help, and they bow to their Princess. They tell to Inner that Hotaru's safe, and they leave Tôkyô, to a new journey: well, perhaps they will come back!
